Mayor Pablo Peña Park will feature new concession stands, restrooms, palm trees, a community plaza, enhanced seating areas, shade structures, signage, improved lighting, filed improvements, and street and drainage improvements. Isaac Rodriguez Park will include field improvements, lighting, shade structures, additional seating, drainage improvements, pickleball courts, and new shade trees.

These improvements will have a tremendous impact on the surrounding community by creating more opportunities for recreation, gathering, and outdoor enjoyment. We are excited to watch these projects take shape and look forward to sharing their progress with you.

Supported by a Texas A&M Forest Service grant and developed in partnership with Quinta Mazatlan, the project emphasizes the importance of nature-based education by providing students with hands-on learning experiences that foster environmental stewardship and enrich academic engagement. Through thoughtful planning and design, these outdoor spaces will offer children of all ages engaging, interactive, and sustainable environments that support both learning and well-being.
