las esperanzas
We are excited to share the groundbreaking photos of the new Las Esperanzas subdivision. We are in the design phase for this subdivision's phase 2 additions. Phase 2 features a park with connecting trails, playground, reforestation, dog park, and picnic areas. The park trails will connect to the new apartments, townhomes, and commercial plazas that encompass the existing lake. Follow us to see how this project develops.

The construction on this contemporary beauty is complete. The landscape design features a xeriscape plant palette including blue sotol, creeping rosemary, flapjacks, red yucca, live oaks, and Monterrey oaks. We are happy to report that an existing heritage oak tree and palms were preserved to maintain the site's character.
PSJA ISD NORTH EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL COURTYARD
A premier South Texas school district requested a complete renovation of one of their early college high school campus. Currently the 2,200 students change classes, eat lunch, and socialize in a completely concrete environment. Our design concept is to integrate as many natural elements as possible. Stone patios with cell phone charging stations, a cor-ten steel clock tower, a hanging garden landmark sign, rain gardens, ephemeral streams, umbrella shades, tree groves, meadows, and pollinator gardens will be added. New entrance-way experiences will greet students, staff, and visitors. Lighting will add interest and expand the use of outdoor spaces at night.
modern optics
This optometrist office has never looked better! We capitalized on the buildings new paint colors by adding tiered cor-ten steel planters and native plants that reflect the South Texas spirit. Significant grade changes provided a design opportunity for added interest and make this business a community landmark. This project also has built in value by reducing maintenance and water use without sacrificing beauty.
ROYAL VISTA APARTMENT HOMES
Our most recently completed apartment home community features a knock-out pool and outdoor entertaining space. Plants, pavers, and pool colors were selected to compliment the building color palette. A variety of palm trees, hardy tropical plants, and succulents were included to entice and retain residents. A network of outdoor grilling facilities and outdoor gas fire pits complete the community and add exciting features that make this property especially attractive to potential residents. We look forward to checking back in on this project once the plants have had a bit more time to grow.

MIRABELLA APARTMENT HOMES
Contemporary style abounds at this beautiful apartment community. The shimmering pool is surrounded by outdoor kitchens and tanning ledges. The plant palette was kept to a minimum to complement the architecture. Orange flowers accentuate and enliven the outdoor spaces.
TEXAS REGIONAL BANKS
Over the past five years we have had the pleasure of designing the landscape and irrigation systems for each of the Texas Regional Bank branches in the Rio Grande Valley. We have successfully completed designs for both new construction and for branches that required a facelift. By standardizing the plant material and irrigation equipment at each branch we were able to streamline the maintenance and management operations. The plant palette includes a mixture of native and adaptive native plants to create an inviting space that reflects the South Texas spirit. Featured plants include whale’s tongue agave, red yucca, weeping yucca, Mexican bird-of-paradise, orange bulbine, natal plum, and mesquite. These low maintenance landscapes are cost effective and use less water than some standard commercial landscape designs. Each branch is in a different city with a different landscape ordinance. Since we are well versed in the landscape ordinance requirements for all cities in the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio the required permits were acquired without delay.
